US intercepts 3 Iranian tankers near India, Malaysia, Sri Lanka amid Hormuz tensions

The US military has intercepted at least three Iranian-flagged tankers in Asian waters, redirecting them from areas near India, Malaysia, and Sri Lanka amid escalating tensions with Iran. The move follows a US-imposed maritime blockade, while Iran has targeted vessels near the Strait of Hormuz, disrupting global energy flows. The crisis, nearly two months after conflict involving the US and Israel, has hit oil and gas supplies. Tankers including Deep Sea, Sevin, and Dorena were reportedly seized or diverted, intensifying the global energy strain.
